Role
Scared stiff is a 501c3 based in San Francisco. Their mission is to curb gang-related violence through an intense program of intervention and education. Their ranks are made up of community leaders, public safety officials, educators, law enforcement, city government officials, and the staff of a local funeral home. This well-respected organization was in need of some fresh branding.
The first item on their branding agenda was the design of a t-shirt. The ‘graffiti-text’ element was drawn by one of the young men involved with the program and had to be distilled and cleaned up for production purposes. The ‘coffin’ element is designed to incorporate a slogan—proffered by one of The programs participants—and an emblematic object into a striking
and iconic branding element.
