Role
Created test logo for monthly party and recording label in San Francisco. The name is taken from the German Spelling. The combining of pinnacle elements forming the ‘spire-like’ shapes emulate flying buttresses and vaguely conjure towering organ pipes. The sharp edges visually vibrate when presented in black and white—the smaller versions are free of this trait.
The type choice—a Gothic sanserif— compliments the austere construction above. The letter-forms work equally as well operating as freestanding branding, or in conjunction With a simplified pair of spire elements—which reduces well for cobranding purposes which is integral to nightclub promotions and peripherals. The two spire elements have a certain fluidity, And when presented opposite one Another offer the semblance of two hands in prayer.
